There comes a time when people reach a so called “tipping point”. That’s the time when we act. My parents had dealt with my sinus condition long enough. My dad took me to the chiropractor. I remember the first visit to this day very clearly. I was standing getting x-rayed and I passed right out. I’m not sure why but I woke up with the doctor and my dad standing over me asking me if I was alright and I was so we continued the exam process and finished. We later got our report and was shown where I had what we call subluxation in my spine specifically my upper spine. These subluxations or misalignments caused pressure and irritation to part of the nervous system that controls our sinuses. I was unable to adapt to the strains of pollen and allergens so I simply kept sneezing, my eyes would itch and react to the point of swelling shut. I built a tolerance to all the medications I had been taking. Medications are helpful in terms of first aid and emergencies but that is not health care. Health care is really self care. The 5 essentials of self care are; air, water, nutrition, exercise and a properly functioning NERVOUS SYSTEM. We can’t necessarily control the quality of air but we need it. The other 4 we can. Do some exercise, eat some fruits and veggies, drink some water and care for your nervous system. The best way to take care of your nervous system is with chiropractic. Yes, like it or not, it is the only profession dedicated to that end. After so many miles you service your car, we all understand that. Do you know that picking up 9 pounds puts 250 pounds of pressure to your spine at the beltline? Looking down at devices distorts normal spinal curves resulting in spinal degeneration bulging and herniation of discs. The adjustment restored my health. It might be your answer. There is no substitute. You can rub it and dub it but the adjustment is the only way to restore normal spinal and nervous system function. So now you know why my dad became a chiropractor. Oh yes that is why I became a chiropractor too.
